Community Engagement
LakewoodAlive’s Community Engagement Program focuses on improving the quality of life for residents through door-knocking, one-on-one appointments, and connecting residents to resources. This resident-focused approach to building community helps build pride in the neighborhoods while ensuring healthy and safe housing.
The Community Engagement Program focuses on low-moderate income residents with an emphasis on helping seniors.
Services the Community Engagement Program offers include:
-Project Safety offers residents smoke alarms and, for those who income qualify, carbon monoxide detectors
-Coordinating Lakewood’s Bed Bug program by supporting residents who suspect they might have an infestation
-Supporting volunteer projects throughout the community
-Bolstering green spaces including installing public gardens
-Connecting residents to resources including City of Lakewood rebate, grant and loan products along with Cleveland Housing Network’s Weatherization Program
