Register Now for Limited-Capacity Workshop at The Lakewood Tool Box

Here’s your chance to build a birdhouse in Birdtown.

LakewoodAlive will host a Build a Birdhouse Workshop on Thursday, September 26, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at The Lakewood Tool Box.  This hands-on workshop is limited to 10 participants and the cost to participate is $5.  Registration is available on a first-come, first-served basis.  Register now to reserve your spot.

Led by Tool Build Coordinator Matt Clark, this workshop features an opportunity for participants to construct a simple birdhouse using reclaimed materials from an old Lakewood home and tools from The Lakewood Tool Box.  All tools and materials will be provided.  Participants will be required to complete a liability waiver.

The Lakewood Tool Box is located in the back corner of the Screw Factory’s East Lot near the intersection of Athens and Halstead Avenues in Lakewood’s Historic Birdtown Neighborhood.

“We are excited to showcase our Lakewood Tool Box through offering this unique workshop,” said Allison Urbanek, LakewoodAlive’s Housing & Internal Operations Director.  “Please join us for this fun DIY project and take home a souvenir.”

The Lakewood Tool Box offers community members an affordable and educational option for borrowing tools that are essential for completing home repairs to ensure we live in healthy and safe homes.  For more information, please visit LakewoodAlive.org/ToolBox.
