SOLD OUT – 2020 Lakewood Chocolate Walk
November 5 @ 4:30 pm - 7:00 pm
Thank you for the support and enthusiasm our community has shown for the Lakewood Drive-Thru Chocolate Walk. Tickets went on sale Friday, October 9 and sold out in less than 24 hours. Unfortunately, LakewoodAlive does not have the capacity to sell additional tickets this year. The safety of our community and staff are our highest priority and we look forward to hosting this event in its original format next year. We appreciate your understanding and the overwhelming support we’ve received for this beloved event.
It’s a dozen years of chocolate decadence! A delectably memorable evening awaits when the 12th Annual Lakewood Chocolate Walk takes place on Thursday, November 5, from 4:30 to 7 p.m. in Lakewood as a COVID-safe drive-thru event featuring an appearance from Charlie Chonka himself.
In order to protect the health & safety of our staff, merchant partners, and participants, The Lakewood Chocolate Walk will be transitioning to a drive-thru only event. The Chocolate Walk – hosted by LakewoodAlive – represents a popular autumn tradition with a devout following of chocolate fans from all over Northeast Ohio. As a drive-thru event, participants will have the chance to purchase a bag containing a box of 4 quality chocolates from both Fear’s Confections and Sweet Designs Chocolatier, baked goods from Addicted Coffee Bar, Aladdin’s Eatery, BlackBird Baking Company, KB Confections, and Melt Bar & Grilled and chocolate lip balm from STEM Handmade Soap. Bags will also include a one-of-a-kind coupon book featuring 18 Lakewood shops & eateries packed with unique offers encouraging visitors to shop local this holiday season.
For an added convenience, participants will also have the chance to purchase complementing beer & wine from Rozi’s Wine House for an additional charge.
Registrations are now open for this much-anticipated event, limited to 125 online tickets (via Eventbrite). This event serves as a fundraiser for LakewoodAlive, a nonprofit community development organization, as part of its efforts to highlight Lakewood’s diverse small business community.
If the evening of Thursday, November 5 is not an option for you, LakewoodAlive will host pickup at 14650 Detroit Avenue, #LL40, on Friday, November 6th during normal business hours. Masks are required for entry into the building. There is a limit of four tickets per person, and the Chocolate Walk is intended for adults age 21 and older.
A $25 registration grants you the chance to keep the Lakewood Chocolate Walk tradition alive through purchase of this one-of-a-kind goodie bag. On November 5th, between 4:30-7 pm, drive to Lakewood Park to pick up your bag from Charlie Chonka and friends, who promise you a sweet night. If you would like to add beer or wine to your bag, there will be a $15 upcharge.
“We are excited to partner with local Lakewood merchants to host a safe and special drive-thru Chocolate Walk this year,” said Ian Andrews, Executive Director of LakewoodAlive. “While COVID prevents us from hosting a traditionally popular event, this is the next best way to enjoy locally produced treats while planning your holiday shopping with small business coupons and several product samples, plus the convenience of adding a beer or a delicious wine bottle all inside of a nice canvas bag.”
