Spring has sprung, now let’s have some socially-distant fun.
LakewoodAlive announces the launch of Share Your Lakewood Spring, a community solidarity initiative designed to promote optimism and togetherness during the COVID-19 pandemic, while coinciding with the vibrant emergence of spring in our city.
Lakewood residents are asked to participate by sharing photos of spring blooms to the Share Your Lakewood Spring Facebook event using hashtags #LovingLakewood and #ShareYourLakewoodSpring.
You can capture colorful signs of spring from your own yard, or from safely walking your neighborhood’s sidewalks. Our favorite submissions will be featured on LakewoodAlive’s social pages throughout the second half of April.
“’Share Your Lakewood Spring’ is the latest in our series of initiatives aimed to connect us as a community and lift our collective spirits, while still maintaining proper social distancing,” said Ian Andrews, LakewoodAlive’s Executive Director. “Despite the extremely difficult circumstances presented by the COVID-19 crisis, we hope this initiative is able to help you and your family enjoy the beauty of springtime in Lakewood.”
