What is “Loving Lakewood: There’s No Place Like Home”?
Sponsored by Cleveland Property Management Group, “Loving Lakewood: There’s No Place Like Home” is a Wizard of Oz-themed fundraising event celebrating the 15th anniversary of LakewoodAlive, a community-centered nonprofit organization. Proceeds will support our programming as we strive to foster and sustain vibrant neighborhoods in Lakewood.
Are tickets still available?
Yes! Although VIP tickets are nearly sold out, General Admission tickets remain available and can be secured here. A $50 General Admission ticket includes unlimited food, one drink ticket and access to all of our Emerald City-flavored fun like a glittering game of chance, auctions and special visitors from Oz.
What should I wear?
Guests are
encouraged to wear cocktail attire with Wizard of Oz flair. A semi-formal look bridging the gap between
casual wear and formal attire is wholly appropriate. Examples of Oz flair include ruby slippers, Dorothy
pigtails, fairy wands, straw hats, lion manes, broom sticks, picnic baskets and
colorful lollipops.
Where should I park?
Free parking will be available on a first-come, first-served basis at the Lakewood Masonic Temple. Additional free parking can be found at several Downtown Lakewood parking lots in close proximity. Guests are encouraged to take advantage of ride sharing or public transportation if possible. Use Lyft code “LOVELAKEWOOD” for 20% off two Lyft rides for There’s No Place Like Home on Feb. 23 between 5 and 11:30 p.m.
What should I expect when I arrive?
Expect to have fun! There’s No Place Like Home will feature Oz-inspired food, drinks, décor and entertainment. There will be music, games, a cash bar and an awards presentation to recognize a group of very deserving honorees. Be ready to dance and have a great time.
