Knowing Your Home: Windows 101
June 15 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pmFree
Join LakewoodAlive and our presenter, Fred Cortright for an informative workshop about windows. We will help answer the age old question, “How do I make my windows stop leaking?!?” Our presentation will focus on repair and replacement of windows with a major focus on wooden windows.
There is a lot of confusing information out there right now about windows. Every three minutes there is a commercial on the radio or television telling us that we need to rip out our “old leaky windows” and replace them with new “energy saving replacement windows.” How do you know if you should repair or replace?
Our workshop will be focusing on the anatomy of a window both window and storm. We will be reviewing how to get the most efficicency out of your windows as well as the different materials if you are thinking about new windows.
Knowing Your Home is an educational series focused on best sustainability and home maintenance practices empowering residents to tackle necessary repairs and improvements.
New in 2017, we will be hosting a Knowing Your Home: Windows 201 workshop in partnership with Lakewood Hardware. We will be able to tackle hands-on window repair right next to the experts! Windows 201 will be held on Thursday, July 20th from 6-8 pm.
Our workshops are generously support by: Citizens Bank City of Lakewood, Ohio – Municipal Government, Cleveland Lumber Company First Federal Lakewood Third Federal and The University of Akron Lakewood
